Charles J. Perruzzi ’63 MMS ’66
From Student to Employee to Donor
Charles J. Perruzzi ’63 MMS ’66, was an undergraduate student and graduate student at Stevens and an employee of the Institute. Now, as a dedicated alumnus, he is giving back with a charitable gift annuity established during the 50th year since his graduation plus a charitable remainder trust which names Stevens as a beneficiary.
Perruzzi began employment with Stevens in admissions and served as assistant dean of students and director of student aid before moving into sales and corporation management. He lauds the school’s current greater “diversity of educational offerings and student body,” which was all male when he attended.
Perruzzi encourages others to do the planning needed to make wise decisions about annual charitable giving and long-term estate planning. “I used to tell my children that money is the ‘oil’ that keeps the engine of life going—and the more oil, the better the engine runs,” Perruzzi said. “Stevens has enabled me to dig my oil well a little deeper—and deserves some of the benefits.”
