Legacy Established at Stevens
Dr. Marshall established the Dr. Enid H. Sharp Endowed Scholarship with a blended gift that pays tribute to his life partner and a former instructor in the Department of Physics from 1960 to 1962. Dr. Winston H. Bostick, the department head at that time, played a significant role in selecting Dr. Sharp for the teaching staff, leaving a profound impact on the physics department. This scholarship celebrates their ties to Stevens and honors Dr. Sharp as a genuine trailblazer.
“In June 1960 I graduated from Stevens, and in September Enid became a member of the faculty—apparently only the second woman to hold such a position. We met in 1975. The scholarship reflects our shared connection to Stevens and her leadership as a peace activist and social justice advocate as well as our shared support for access to higher education in science and engineering.”
